The batteries had a great life to them and the remote never fouled up or didn't produce a call when I pushed the button. The call was easy to conceal and place anywhere you could imagine. It was light so on those long walks with your gear it was no problem. Not to mention it WORKS!!! We had yotes come to the call, hog, and a few deer. "We had been sitting for about an hour and decided to use the call. Within minutes of touching off the hog squealing sound track on the remote, we started hearing movement and noise coming from all around. About that time Kyle decided to move the call from the ground to a tree branch…As he approached the call he had a rather large hog growl at him from about 20 yards away. As the picture shows, I am now a believer that the Kernel call does attract hogs and actually I believe it ticks them off because at night they come running straight to the call.
